My name is Sheri Eells and this year marks my 20th year servicing the students and families of Limerick Avenue Elementary! I have my B.A in Speech Communication. It actually wasn't until after the birth of my son that I decided I wanted to work in education. I went back to school to get my Credential and Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. In my quest for learning and growing, I became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher a couple years ago.
I was a classroom teacher for 17 years, teaching kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grades. This is my third year out of the classroom. Although I miss having my own room and students, I love being able to impact a greater number of students and help them reach their reading goals. As intervention coordinator I work closely with teachers in order to target students that may need extra support in reading. I create lessons to help students master the skills required to be a successful reader. I have the pleasure of working with several paraprofessionals who will be future teachers. They work hard everyday to help students reach their reading goals. We service all grade levels. Watching the children progress from year to year is very rewarding.
I am also available to meet with parents who would like to provide extra support to their child at home. I love to work with parents to create plans that help them nurture their child's education beyond the classroom. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like to work together.
It is my pleasure to serve the teachers, staff, students and families here at Limerick Avenue Elementary. This community is one that I am truly honored to be a part of, we put children first and nurture them to reach their goals.
